Chief for a Day

Your child could be the next "Police Chief for a Day"!

"Police Chief for a Day" is a program put on by the Sterling Police Department and the American Red Cross where parents bid on their child at the Red Cross Benefit Auction in Sterling to become 'Chief for a Day'.  The donation goes to the Red Cross, but it also benefits the department because it allows the SPD a chance to build more relationships and combat "unwarranted negative perceptions" about law enforcement.

Your child will have a day full of chiefly duties including: being sworn in, approving vacation requests, reading memos and of course eating lunch to name a few. To help your child become the next "Police Chief for a Day" keep an eye out for the Red Cross Benefit Auction held at the Elk's Lodge where you can try to win the experience of a lifetime for your child.
