Application Process

To be considered for employment, you must submit an online application. The City does not accept paper applications. A resume will not be accepted in lieu of an application. Computers are available at Sterling Public Library and CO Workforce Center (100 Broadway, Ste. 24) for use by the public. Please check their websites for policies on computer usage.

If this is the first time you are applying using the online job application process, you will need to create an account and select a Username and Password. After your account has been established, you can create an application by clicking on the position you wish to apply for and entering your username and password to enter the application.

It is important that your application shows all the relevant education, training, and/or experience you possess. Applications may be rejected if incomplete.

Online applications are stored on a secure site. Only authorized employees and hiring authorities have access to the information submitted. Most of these only receive the application without confidential information released to them.
